Meet "The Barrel House," a truly unique Vermont summer retreat! Tucked into the mountains of Stamford, this distinctive bow-roof seasonal cabin is believed to date to approximately 1938, a date set into its fieldstone fireplace along with the fitting words, "REST A WHILE." Nearly 90 years later, the invitation remains. Rich wood walls and ceilings, vintage details, warm wood floors, and an open second floor beneath the remarkable curved roof create an atmosphere unlike anything you'll find today. Relax on the screened porch and take in beautiful mountain and valley views. Zoned as a seasonal cabin, this is a wonderful three-season escape rather than a year-round residence. A rare combination of character, history and setting. The Barrel House is one you won't forget!
